Our workshops are usually held at a private home in the Downingtown/Exton area. When you sign up on MeetUp.com, you will receive an e-mail with the address and directions before the next scheduled workshop. Very secret squirrel, we know. It just makes it all the more fun.
Just your notebook is fine. And a pen. Although, if you forget them, we have some. Julie provides the snacks and drinks, but if you want to bring something special she won't stop you!
No! We're not looking to fulfill some sort of quality criteria. We know that if you show up and try our exercises, you will write wonderful things!
Yes! Our writers include just about every genre imaginable. We also have some visual artists, comic book illustrators, and song writers. The method is a great way to trigger ideas for new artistic projects of any kind.
Absolutely. There's never any pressure to read your work after an exercise. As long as you can make positive commentary on the work of the other members, you are welcome!
Bring anyone you like. The more the merrier! Just RSVP on MeetUp with the number of guests you are bringing.
At the moment, we're not workshopping full-manuscripts. However, if enough members request this, we can form sub-groups at any time.
There is a very friendly little non-allergenic (bichon frise) dog and a cat who will most likely ignore you on the workshop premises. If you are allergic, you might want to take your allergy medicine beforehand.
